With 127,000,000 consumers – Japan is low-hanging fruit. Especially since you won’t have to do anything to make it happen. We at GaiaWorks have been operating here for more than 25 years, with a long list of successful product launches to our credit. Doesn’t yours deserve to be among them?

John Munroe is a Canadian entrepreneur based in Tokyo. With a strong background in advertising and marketing and thoroughly versed in Japanese business practices, John co-founded GaiaWorks in 1998 to import, market and distribute environmentally-friendly products to the Japanese market. The success of John’s enterprises is due to his guerilla marketing approach, one which leverages a powerful mix of grass roots and alternate media strategies. Since 1981 John has divided his time between Canada and Japan, and he is fluent in spoken and written Japanese. He is a member of The American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan and The Foreign Correspondents Club of Japan.

Ken Yoshii was born into a traditional Japanese kimono business, but his career soon took him to Milan, London and New York in search of hit products for Japan. Ken has launched and represented numerous global fashion brands in the Japanese market. Equally at ease with Japan’s traditional trading conglomerate structure and with the burgeoning young entrepreneurial economy in this second-largest world economy, Ken brings a wealth of marketing savvy and business smarts to the team.
